You are right, we do not allow anyone to "copy" a link. If you want to put our link on your site, we just ask you to submit the information to us first, and once that's been done, you'll be sent code that you can paste on the appropriate page of your site. When you do this, we also need the reciprocal URL information where our site will be listed. We check this out to ensure the link is correct. If you forget to provide this, no problem..........we'll send you an email remiding you to do it or send it to us and we'll try to put it together for you. I'm sure you know how it works, but the code we send you, although long and crazy looking, is important to us: 1. It tracks the coming and going of click-ins and outs to your site and back to ours. Without the code I can't tell you how good we are in connecting others to you.
2. Within the code, you're assigned a unique ID number which helps me track your information on views, hits, etc. It also identifies you in our database and if something goes wrong, it can be used to upload or correct your data.
Essentially, we are no different than anyone else who providese you with code to use such as Paypal, RSS feeds, important logos, etc. We all want you to use our code so that we can track the successful linking to each other.
Using our code when prompted will benefit the both of us as we grow.
