A blog posted may have answered part of the question but if you go to the link we provide called www.onlineconversion.com you can go their site for further answers and calculations. Quick Nation answer: A Board foot = length of the board that is 12" wide by 1. EX: 1x12 foot long is one Board Foot. 1x6 foot long is a half a board foot (6/12=1/2). 2x6 foot long is one board foot. Pricing my vary, but a price per board foot is an easy way to get pricing. A lineal foot is a straight line measurement of the length only.
